ISSAC 2002 TUTORIALS

Date and Place

Tutorials will take place on Sunday, July 7th, at the Macc, Université des Sciences et Technologies de Lille, Lille-Villeneuve d'Ascq, France. See the travel information here.

Scope

The 3-hour courses are aimed at students and researchers in mathematics and computer science, as well as scientists in application areas who want to get a thorough introduction to a topic of current interest in symbolic computation. They are presented by leading experts in the field. Each participant will receive a set of printed course notes.

Schedule

8h30 - 11h30	Tutorial 1 :	Bernard Mourrain	Symbolic-numeric methods for algebraic curves and surfaces.
12h30 - 15h30	Tutorial 2 :	Georges Racinet	Computer algebra and combinatorical problems at the interplay of number theory and quantum algebra: the example of Multiple Zeta Values.
15h45 - 18h45	Tutorial 3 :	Pierrick Gaudry	Introduction to public key cryptography based on algorithmic number theory.
