ISSAC OrganizationThe International Symposium on Symbolic and Algebraic ComputationISSAC is an annual international symposium that provides an opportunity to learn of new developments and to present original research in all areas of symbolic and algebraic computation. Meeting FormatSymposium activities normally include invited presentations, original research papers, tutorial courses, vendor exhibits and software demonstrations. Proceedings are distributed at the symposium.Proposals for workshops, tutorial courses, demonstrations, panel discussions or related activities are welcomed. User-groups, editorial boards or other associations desiring meeting space during the course of the symposium are encouraged to contact the conference organizers. ProceedingsA list of links to the various issac proceedings is at URL http://www.acm.org/pubs/contents/proceedings/issac/.HistoryThe ISSAC conference series dates back to 1966, with ISSAC 2000 being the 25th meeting.The name ``ISSAC'' was first used for the 1988 meeting, when the European EUROSAM/ EUROCAL/ EUROCAM conferences were merged with the North American SYMSAM/ SYMSAC stream. While some of the meetings in this series have only sought national-level sponsorship, the majority have been sponsored by ACM SIGSAM. ISSAC has also benefitted from the support of many other organizations.
