Recently the first call for papers for ISSAC 2020 was made. The conference takes place in Kalamata, Greece on 20-23 July 2020.
In the week before ISSAC the conference ACA 2020 takes place in Athens, Greece (July 15-18). The call for special sessions was recently made.

The issue contains two research articles: one by Li & Corless, Revisiting Gilbert Strang's "a chaotic search for i, and another by Abramov & Barkatou entitled Row reduction process for matrices of scalar operators: storing the intermediate results of row transformation.
SIGSAM sponsors the paper awards at the annual ISSAC conference. In 2019 the Distinguished Paper Award was given to Florent Bréhard, Mioara Joldes and Jean-Bernard Lasserre for On moment problems with holonomic functions and the Distinguished Student Author Award to Manuel Eberl for Verified Real Asymptotics in Isabelle/HOL.
There was also a Distinguished Poster Award to Leili Rafiee Sevyeri and Robert Corless for Approximate GCD in Bernstein basis and a Distinguished Software Demonstration Award to Julián Cuevas-Rozo, Jose Divasón, Miguel Marco-Buzunáriz and Ana Romero for A Kenzo Interface for Algebraic Topology Computations in SageMath. These awards were sponsored by Fachgruppe Computeralgebra and Maplesoft.
ISSAC 2019 is taking place. The proceedings are now available in the ACM Digital Library.

The Second Call for Nominations for the 8th Richard D. Jenks Prize for Software Engineering Applied to Computer Algebra has been made.

The 4th Stephen Smale Prize will be awarded at the Foundations of Computational Mathematics (FoCM) meeting in Vancouver, Canada, June 15-24, 2020. The prize recognizes major achievements in furthering the understanding of the connections between mathematics and computation, including the interfaces between pure and applied mathematics, numerical analysis, and computer science. The recipient of the prize will be expected to give a lecture at the meeting. For more information, click here.
